Sounds like she suffers from manic depression (I guess “bipolar” is the pop term these days). It can make people do and say things that seem very out of left field. :/

That is truly awful. Had a similar thing happen to my step-family about two years ago. The killer in this case was a policeman. Blergh.

Take up martial arts. I kid not. It’s the best cure for anything. I suggest Wing Chun Kung Fu, since the cirruculum is standardised internationally. Plus, it’s very woman-friendly, being that it’s a fighting style developed by a nun.

@mercedes – You are not missing anything. The colours in a 3D film are not as vivid as in a 2D one – Some detail is lost, and any fast action is jittery. The 3D poster child was Avatar, and I enjoyed it more in 2D. (saw it once in each type of theatre)

Westboro Baptist Church. Been following them for years. They certainly are a weird bunch. They recently went to Comic Con, because “God Hates Nerds”, they were met there with a rather funny nerd counterprotest. Go nerds!
They also have http://www.godhatesfags.com and http://www.godhatessweden.com

This is a lot like how people with disabilities are sometimes jerks, but people just look right past it. Noooo, I say treat them as you would any other person… the wheelchair doesn’t make them an angel, ya know?
As for Mr Poop, he can grieve without being obnoxious.

Knowing who you are is very easy. You’re the most difficult person you could ever hope to escape from. Or, how it has been put by platituders from way back ”No matter where you go, there you are.”

In fact, TS3 succeeds as it was intended, as a ”family film”. And indeed can/should be enjoyed by anyone.

”but not really for kids in my opinion” – I half-disagree here. It’s for kids, but people just raise their kids to be too sheltered. Granted, I grew up having to know things like how to identify Russian anti-personnel mines and suchlike due to the political situation here, so my childhood might not reflect that of kids in the US/Canada today, but still. Kids must learn about death and loss, and how to appreciate things.
”The Last Airbender: Not bad” – Going to have to see this one. Consensus among critics and fans of the Nik show alike seems to be that this is the worst excuse for a film adaptation they could have possibly hoped for. I’m hoping for a chuckle. Or at least the chance to see a train wreck – that of M. Night Shyamalan’s career.

Hehe, well, my version of the plot omits the part about the dragon burning all her clothes, forcing her to wear a paper bag. ;) Hell I bet that could fit into the metaphor too in some way.

Regarding the other not-so-lovely man, I found this children’s book that reminded me a little of that whole thing. Read the plot synopsis and tell me that doesn’t sound just a tad familiar. :) The Paper Bag Princess EDIT: Ok, it’s a stretch, but do stretch to see it. Princess goes out of her way to [...]
