Aion is strange. We really enjoyed it while we played it, but after a month of playing, we both just lost the urge to sign in. And it wasn’t just us – almost everyone in our legion stopped playing around the same time, and looking at the forums, people everywhere were suddenly just losing interest. [...]

We’re having a late christmas when my mum and aunty get here too, hehe (next week). I’d gladly go without – neither of us are really into christmas – but they feel obligated I think ;p

The cinema we usually go to, owned by a company called Ster Kinekor, is dire. Every movie we see starts either out of aspect ratio, upside-down, mis-aligned, our of focus… We’ve considered complaining to the manager but what will he do? Give us free tickets to see even more movies at their absurd cinema? If [...]

Cool theme and sounds great in your town this year – it must be so exciting have a local person in Olympics – brings everyone’s interest into sharper focus!
Sounds like you’re having interesting times!

Well it’s been a couple of weeks since I posted something here. Last Thursday I went to London to my son’s end of course presentation – he’s been training in clowning which is a very fascinating and deep subject – real emotions, tragedy and comedy is got in touch with and brought into the performance – [...] -

I think I might pick up Dragon Age at some point then, when I have me a bit of spare cash. Have a play through that. Yeah, I think having eye candy in a game is fair enough and certainly amazes you how fantastic developers have managed to make these games, but if they don’t [...]

He was wearing a T-short that shows a snowboarder in red, white and blue, with an outline of the U.P. It says: “Powered by the U.P.” I’ll try to post that photo later. -

I think you’d really like Dragon Age – and Mass Effect is pretty much the same, but in space. Huge fun, even if you’re not normally a fan of space games or shooters. I played a demo of Mirror’s Edge but it was pretty tedious :( And Assassin’s Creed II apparently has much more depth [...]

Ahh, thinking of single player games, I do want to take a look at a couple of games. Dragon Age Origins, the Mass Effect games.. Mirror’s Edge looks interesting. Oh, and Assassin’s Creed. With Aion, I’ve heard that there’s a lot more grinding involved compared to WoW and takes an age to level up. But [...]

Hehe. Eventful evening, yay! I did like the fact that they showed more trailers than at the cinema we usually go to. I like trailers. “In a world… where no-one is safe… one man… will set out on a journey… to find himself… and will discover… that what he was looking for… has been there [...]

I’ve told a few people about MQT being an Olympic training center and they find it hard to believe one can be tucked away in little Upper Michigan, it’s always so good to see the locals when they make it :) I baby sat on occasion for a family of four boys who were into [...]

You could also try a few single player games. ;)
We played Aion for about a month. It’s not a bad game actually, but kind-of lacked the staying power that WoW had.

Last night Donna and I decided to take advantage of the nice, balmy Vancouver weather and head downtown on the bus to check out the scene. The Olympics have not started yet, but things are getting under way downtown. There were LOTS of people around, speaking many foreign languages and it was rather exciting. Donna was [...] -
